This pedal is a guitar preamp capable of sweeping from +5db up to +39db of clean gain. Its maximum undistorted output level is +16dBu and it is intended for use with a tube amp.
The MORE can offer some nice gain structuring when run in conjunction with other overdrive or distortion pedals but it also has enough gain to clip the converters in many digital pedals when maxed out so keep this in mind when placing it in your signal path. The unit is yours and you are obviously welcome to do with it as you please, our suggestion however is to put it just before your tube amp or if you are running a series of pedals to put it last in the signal chain.
There is a lot of gain on hand so we thought we would tell you a few of the scenarios in which we have found the pedal particularly useful.
Solo - From minimum to around 12 o'clock . In this range the unit will definitely let your guitar punch from a hint to wow!
Sweeten All - From 10 o'clock through 2 o'clock. Leave it on and forget it. This will help tickle your first pre-amp tube and you may find it becoming the missing link in your tone.
Low volume gain/Holy crap - From 2 o'clock through the Maximum there a couple nice features. First by taking a low gain amp and really overdriving the first tube you can attain nice gain structure and have your amp breaking up at 1 or 2 instead of the usual 6-7 (this is like the Sweeten but with more gain). Second if you have a dimed out amp and feel like you can't get any more out of it and want that holy crap factor, go from off to on in this setting and let it rip.
The MORE uses a standard 9V center negative adapter. Power consumption with no signal is 45mA and at max OP (+16dBu) is 52mA.

The Darkglass Microtubes B7K Bass Preamp / DI Pedal is the meanest beast of the Darkglass family, and possibly the most flexible and versatile bass overdrive available. It has all the handy features of its B3K little brother and much more! One of the amazing improvements is the musical 4-band EQ which exponentially increases the tonal capabilities of the pedal, giving you all the shaping and texture options you’ll ever need. This, combined with the "Grunt" and "Attack" toggle switches gives you all the versatility of a preamp in a compact pedal format. This is the MADE IN USA version.
With the B7K you can easily create your own signature sound across a huge range of sounds from classic warm tube tones all the way to scooped ultra high gain distortion. Another great feature of the B7K is the built-in DI output which makes it perfect for live and studio applications. It works perfectly as both a standalone preamp going into a power amp and/or PA system or spicing up the tone of your favorite amplifier. The B7K is a dream come true to get your own signature sound.
The Radial PZ-Deluxe is a studio quality instrument preamp that jam-packs a full array of features into a compact pedal for live stage use.
And like most studio preamps, the PZ-Deluxe begins with a low noise front end that is capable of exceptional dynamics to adapt to all instruments including acoustic guitar, upright bass, mandolin and violin no matter what type of pickup system is being used. For piezo transducers, a special PZB gain stage may be engaged that increases the input impedance to 10 meg-Ohms to eliminate squawk and explosive peaks that are common with other systems. This eliminates the need for a separate preamp - which is of particular importance for those that do not want to cut a hole into their vintage guitar.
The control panel is well appointed with input gain, 3-band semi-parametric EQ with variable mid-frequency, three position low frequency resonance filter and 180 DEGREE polarity reverse switches to eliminate acoustic hot spots that cause runaway resonant feedback. A guitar level output delivers the sound to the artist's stage amp while the built-in Radial direct box feeds the PA system. This balanced low impedance output enables the PZ-Deluxe to drive long cable runs of over 100 meters (300 feet) without noise. A separate tuner output enables quiet on-stage adjustments by depressing the mute switch. And for solos, a variable power booster with set & forget level control lets you punch through the mix when needed.
The Radial PZ-Deluxe is compact for easy transportation, made tough to handle the road, plug & play easy to use and delivers exceptional studio quality audio.
The APP-1 offers three devices in one: a clean to high-gain 2-channel preamp, a DUAL BUFFER for your effects and a final signal BOOST for soloing or overdriving your power amp. The Preamp is designed to serve as an input buffer for all your effects and your tuner, so plug your guitar effects into it first. Its high impedance input will not color or load down your pickup signal.
As a true guitar preamp, we have added EFFECTS SEND and EFFECTS RETURN jacks on the rear panel just like an amp head or combo amp. Your effects chain signal can be adjusted to compensate for any imbalances or losses, and then sent to our BOOST circuit, which can add up to 20dB more gain with the BOOST knob. The APP-1 output jack provides a solid low impedance drive with high signal integrity to connect to your power amp (or input channel of your head or combo). The two tone stacks and the VOICING pre-EQ filters are passive, not active, so they naturally shape your guitar signal without excessive phase shift or impulse ringing. The tone stack in the A/DA Pedal Preamp has the exact response as a Fender 1960s tone stack, and guitarists who are used to the Fender taper will be immediately familiar with how to get the tone they want from the APP-1.
The VOICING is a pre EQ switch that selects the frequency range that is fed the distortion generation circuit from your guitar. It can dramatically change the feel, attack, tightness and density of single notes or chords, or the emphasis of harmonics in addition to selecting a more British or American tone and response. The unit has a TRUE BYPASS switch, so it can be completely taken out of your signal path or used as a BOOST only driver. If you only want to use it as an effects loop Dual Buffer and BOOST, then select the BUFFER & BOOST ONLY position on the top middle switch.
The Radial Tonebone PZ-Pre™ is the most powerful acoustic preamplifier ever to be put inside a pedal. And when we say acoustic, we do not just mean acoustic guitar - we mean ANY acoustic instrument including banjo, violin, cello, mandolin, contrabass, bouzouki or lute. The magic lies in the combination of high performance 100% discrete class-A PZB piezo boosters, an ultra-quiet preamp circuit that will adapt to any pickup system and a host of connectivity options that will put you in total control.
The PZ-Pre is equipped with two inputs for quick instrument changes on stage. These can also be combined to blend two pickups together if you so desire. Features include a powerful yet warm sounding semi-parametric EQ to tailor your sound, feedback eliminating controls including a dual-Q notch filter to surgically remove feedback, a high-pass filter to cut low frequency resonance, and a phase reverse switch to eliminate hot spots on stage. It is also equipped with a host of outputs: a 1/4" hi-Z instrument out for an on-stage amp, a pre-EQ balanced XLR output for the PA system and a post EQ XLR out for stage wedges or in-ear monitors. A dedicated tuner out with mute switch lets you quietly tune on-stage. There's even a combination power booster - effects loop to add sizzle and dynamics to the performance and extra presence when soloing!
Compact and easy to use, the Radial PZ-Pre packs in all of the features you need to take your acoustic instrument from home to studio and club to concert.
The Emerald Prince is a preamp circuit modeled after the famous Echoplex EP3 preamp. The 2 x 2 box can squeeze its way onto any pedal board. An Internal trimmer controls output volume, with just a touch of boost. An internal bright switch toggles between a bright mode that provides clarity and a unique mid-range character and a dark mode that fattens the sound while maintaining punch and clarity.
The Sunrise Preamp Buffer Box is a line matching device designed specifically to access the coupling feature built into Sunrise Pickups. The output of a Sunrise Pickup should be sent first to this preamp.
Sunrise Preamp Buffer Boxes provide the pickup signal with 12dB of gain, high resolution, and impedance matching capabilities. The active 18 volt Bi-Polar powered circuit eliminates pickup loading and line loss due to long cable runs, and also delivers up to 4 years of battery life with 2) 9 volt Energizer Alkaline batteries.
The S-B1 has two 1/4" parallel output jacks (Sunrise and Aux) which allows the same signal to be sent to two separate sources.
The Nordstrand 2B Preamp is a 2 band bass preamp with 2 equalization control pots.
The MXR Bass Preamp combines a pristine bass preamp with a studio-quality Direct Out in a Phase 90-sized box, providing clear tone without hogging precious pedalboard space. Use it to add a new voice to an old passive bass, sweeten up any amp, or put some special sauce on a particular song. Dial it in just the way you want it and send it straight to the house—pre or post-EQ—with the built-in Direct Out.
The Bass Preamp features separate INPUT and OUTPUT level controls and a 3-band EQ section with sweepable midrange—from 250hz to 1khz—for extensive tonal flexibility. It’s all delivered super clean with high headroom thanks to our own Constant Headroom Technology™, and you can use the PRE/POST EQ switch to set whether or not your Direct Out signal is affected by the Bass Preamp’s EQ section. And of course, the Bass Preamp features a GROUND LIFT switch in case you encounter ground loop hum.
The Bass Preamp is factory preset to operate in ¼ out buffered bypass and Direct Out active. For players who only want to use the ¼ out, there are two internal switches that disable the Direct Out and ¼ out buffered bypass for true ¼ out bypass mode.
The U-Retro 01, based on the J-Retro 01, is a universal highly flexible on-board dual input preamp and EQ system. The standard pots have 10.0mm threaded bushes to allow rear mounting in the wood of a bas body, or 6.0mm bushes, for plate or scratch plate mounting, can be supplied to special order. Flat wire connections to the pots and toggle switches allow for flexible layout. its high quality circuit uses three stacked knobs and includes an active blend circuit plus a 3 band equalizer with bass, variable frequency mid, treble and bright function. The active blend circuit prevents the loss associated with many passive basses where, when both pickups are up full, the signal from one pickup feeds into the other and vice versa. However, a switch is included to allow a passive equal mix of both pickups as this can give a subtle difference in sound. A second switch allows some basic passive modes with some useful settings too. Each pickup input has its own individual input amplifier, each with a gain trim adjustment preset. This means that pickups of different types and output levels can be readily matched without compromise.
First made popular by Xotic Effects, the Tri-Logic is back! Renewed and Reincarnated by EWS, the "Tri-Logic Bass Preamp 2" is significantly smaller in size and more affordable. The Nordstrand 2B-4A Preamp is a prewired with 2 band bass preamp with volume (pull passive), volume, bass and treble controls.
Mojo Hand upgrades one of their most popular and successful overdrive pedals by pairing a Rook overdrive with a modified Echoplex preamp circuit to create the Rook Royale, with all of the sonic perfection and versatility that has made both such valuable staples of so many pedalboards. The Rook features a three way toggle switch which offers an abundance of overdrive sounds. Flip it up for classic, highly compressed gain full of rich harmonics, or Down for additional gain stages with much more aggressive distortion, or select the Middle for loud, clean sound that lets the two-band EQ improve the sound of your entire signal chain. The Gain control offers an impressive sweep from clean gain to full-on sonic mayhem, and all points in between.
On the other side is a modified Echoplex preamp that helped shape the legendary sound of more guitarists than we can name here. The boost control adds magnificent texture, depth, and color to any guitar, while the treble control shapes the top end and leaves the low end unaltered for magnificent presence. Each side has its own independent, true bypass switching with its own LED indicator, and a 2-way toggle lets you flip the order of the two pedals for the sound you want. Like all Mojo Hand effects, the Rook Royale is hand built in the USA from the finest components. It can be powered by any standard negative center 9vDC power supply.

The Award-winning Anthem series, featuring our patent-pending TRU-MIC technology, seamlessly combines a proprietary condenser microphone with our acclaimed Element pickup to deliver the warmth and fidelity of a studio-mic'd guitar anywhere you perform.
At the heart of the Anthem is a revolutionary microphone engineered to capture a dynamic studio-mic'd sound for any live performance. The TRU•MIC mounts to the underside of the bridge plate and hovers just 3 mm above its surface to take advantage of the PZM or "boundary" effect. This proprietary mounting system, combined with noise cancellation, frees the mic to perform as if it were outside of the guitar in a studio and maintain remarkable feedback suppression for the stage. The result is a balanced frequency response with excellent clarity for the purest sound you have ever heard amplified. We have paired the Element pickup with the TRU•MIC to provide solidity and punch for low frequencies.
